New Opening 2011 - Hotel Campo dei Fiori
The "Zero-Energy-Hotel" will arise right in the Center of the town - our fourth hotel in Munich.
The hotel with traditional hotel rooms as well as Serviced Apartments will be opening in the best city-location of the Bavarian capital: the Utzschneiderstraße right next to the Viktualienmarkt in Munich. The whole construction has been designed in a way which allows the entire energy consumption for heating, cooling and drinking water-warming to be covered by self-generated, renewable energy. Simultaneously the innovative technique allows more ease and comfort for the hotel guests. The opening is planned for the first half-year of 2011.
"Zero Energy" through innovative technology
The high energy-efficiency of the building is reached by an integrated concept with a list of closely connected measures - from the highly-heat-isolating building envelope with triple glazing of the windows to extensive solar plants on the roof. Mainly LED-technology will be used for lighting. The whole heating and cooling process will be realised by hot respectively cool water which runs through floor and ceiling - this will not only save energy but also lead to more ease in the rooms. At the moment the heat recovery from the ventilation system reaches the highest values possible. The house also disposes of big buffer-storages in order to save as much gained energy as possible. Particularly interesting is the water supply of the new domicil. Most important: the heating of the drinking water takes place individually for every room - this saves energy because no warm water provision is needed and the hygiene is optimized. Due to the newest technology the guest does not have to wait more than usual for warm water.
Hotel rooms and Serviced Apartments in modern comfort
Like every Derag Hotel and Living domicile our new house in Munich will offer fully equipped hotel rooms and Serviced Apartments with kitchenettes, which have energy-saving induction hobs for the guests. Nonetheless the guests will enjoy modern comfort from a 32-inches-flatscreens to free Pay-TV.
With this project we react to the growing awareness not only of the climate protection but also of the efficiency- and value-advantages of energy-optimized buildings. Thomas Schlereth, board of the Derag Hotel and Living, is convinced: "We are convinced of this project and expect a high approval from the guests, which react more and more sensitive to the whole subject of sustainability and environmental protection.
